“Ukrainian in NYC” has been part of my Instagram bio for years – love and patriotism for my country is not new to this blog. “I find Ukrainian artists, designers and brands to be some of the most chic and creative ones in the world,” is a direct quote from my travel series of posts from Ukraine from 2019.
At this exact moment as I’m writing this post – there is a tragic war ongoing in Ukraine caused by russia’s aggressive invasion. Day 36 of unimaginable terror that Ukrainian people are facing on the daily – something our Soviet grandparents only kept in their memories from the 1940s. Something we’ve been saying “never again” for decades.
Today – Ukraine needs our support to continue courageously defending their land & people, culture & traditions, freedom & safety of the whole world. I want to use my platform to first offer some confirmed organizations to donate to! Even $1 makes a difference today.

Back to my original quote from 2019 – with russian missiles flying over their heads, Ukrainian businesses and brands are starting to open back up and resuming operations. Teams of creatives are going back to work, while also doing the most to support humanitarian and military organizations, while also hiding in shelters during air raid sirens. Ukrainian designers need and deserve your support and attention.
