This post, like my last post, features 2 different shoes… for the same reason: comfort. I wanted this whole trip to be about comfort, which I define as a mix of athleisure, casual minimalistic style and a little bit of glam (I hate that word. If you can think of a less cringy synonym to “glam”, leave it in a comment please).

The jumpsuit is by a Ukrainian brand Cape and fits amazing. Thanks to the elastic waist, the piece allows for very free easy movement (you can literally do yoga in it) and comes in a few different colors that are all also very easily paired with different outerwear or footwear pieces. It is 92% polyester, which is not a biodegradable or recyclable fabric, however I made a compromise here because A: A white midi-length jumpsuit is the definition of “classic” and will never go out of style, so the piece will live in my closet forever and B: Cape is a small local and locally-designed and produced Ukrainian brand creating jobs and stimulating the local economy. I talk about the huge gray area I see with ethical brands in my post appropriately titled “What is an ethical brand?” and that’s exactly the case here, when a brand isn’t checking off ALL the ethical boxes, but still brings a lot to the table when it comes to fashion ethics.

Sneakers in this post are by a brand called Juch and I featured them a few times in the past. Its a small French brand creating amazing quality shoes that are both comfortable and universal. Heels in these photos are by an Australian brand called Jaggar the Label. I often check out their new collections on Fashion BNKR because all brands sold on BNKR are part of the Australian Fashion Labels (AFL) and operate under a strict code of conduct, even if production is outsourced to high-risk countries. I also noticed, AFLs don’t produce a lot of collections.. From my observation, its a few new pieces about once a month, about 12 mini collections a year, so there is definitely quantity control. Similarly, I think these kitten heels are classic and universal: great to pair with jeans and a tee or something a little more fancy like a pant suit…or with a very classic white jumpsuit.
